This came from my local paper, the Times-Picayune today (8-11-01). It
is an article about M. Night Shyamalan by Douglas Todd of the Religion
News Service called "Two Popular Movies Have Hindu Undertones. It says
at the end:
"Now that he's one of Hollywood's most in-demand writers and
directors, Shyamalan reportedly is busy on Steven Spielberg's request
to DIRECT the next installment of the Indiana Jones series.
Hinduism Today said that would give Shyamalan the perfect
opportunity to redeem the installment "Indiana Jones and the Temple of
Doom," which it said was rife with insensitive potrayals of Hindu
gods."
I thought Shyamalan was not going to be involved in IJ4. Anyway,
I did not know he was in the running to DIRECT it. Any f
