If you are having difficulty keeping your brim exactly the way you want it, you should use STEAM. Get the brim DAMP, not WET with steam and shape the hat to your liking. To keep the tilt of the brim, always place your fedora on the crown when you are not wearing it. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use hairspray on your Stetson temple. The fur felt WILL NOT respond well; it could fade the die and possibly ruin the cohesiveness of the bond between the fur fibers. I am speaking from experience here. The old hairspray remedy may work on WOOL hats but not the material in the fedora that you purchased.
