FYI: Ford's scenes remain untouched. I thought the movie was
fantastic. Seeing it on the big screen was a revelation. For the
most part, the added scenes helped make the movie more
coherent. As many of you know, besides the Harrison ford tie in,
this is Indy related in that the movie originally involved George
Lucas as the director. It was partly his brainstorm. Coppola went
ahead and made it when George was in the middle of Star Wars.
George was said to have been upset with his old friend for a
while after that. Apocalypse Now was partially written by John
Milius, friend of George, Francis, and Steven Spielberg. In my
opinion his scripts have always had a certain flair about them
(he ain't a bad director either). Anyway, as I was watching the
movie, I couldn't help but think that he could write a fantastic Indy
script if he were interested. It would be gritty and with "grip". What
do you guys think. Also, I don't mean to be crabby, but this is by
far the best thing out this summer, probably all year. Go see it if
you have the chance. Cheers
