Sellecks voice is too...almost comical in a way. While it's still way cooler than my voice, and would be a great one for documentaries, it just doesn't have the same power to it as Ford's does. This apparent especially when Selleck yells. You don't really take him seriously. But whereas with Ford, he's got that cool "Too Small For Two Of Us" commanding yell.

P.S. Although....Selleck HAS aged pretty well. Expcept for a few extra pounds, he doesn't look a whole lot different than the 'Magnum' days. Then again, he may very well be 5-10 years younger than Ford, I'm not really sure.
