I guess from my of view, if I go to a craftsman and say "I like the basic elements of this, but I'd like this added from this source, this from this source, and these specifications which are my own personal elements". Well, to me this sounds like I just designed a jacket, but I've commissioned somebody else to execute the design into a real article - maybe because I don't have the means of skills to actually build the thing. In my mind it is my design, i.e. the person doing the work for me did not come up with it. Sure they may own an element, and it may be a major element. They deserve credit for their part, and I'd not dream of taking that away. Maybe I'm missing something?

Cheers!
