I know a few other Dirk Pitt fans lurk around here, and figured you'd might be interested in this news. It seems that a production company named Crusader (not familiar with them myself...) has secured the rights to produce a series of Dirk Pitt movies. Some of you may remember the only other Dirk Pitt movie ever made: Raise the Titanic! I urge you to go to therapy. It worked wonders for me.
Dirk Pitt novels sometimes works as a de facto crutch for some of us during these dark, empty days Indy 4-wise. Sure, they aren't going to win the Pulitzer any time soon and they all follow pretty much standard format (Pitt saves people, Bad Guy kills people, Bad Guy tries to ruin environment/economy, Pitt and Giordino make wise cracks, Pitt beats up/kills Bad Guy), but it's always a fun ride on the way to the inevitable denouement.
