It’s an older bullwhip, and not something you would want to use for everyday work. The fact that its 18ft long would make it awkward to throw, especially for a beginner. While I don’t know a great deal about the construction of this particular bullwhip, they seem to be relatively common. They were a decent work whip back in their day. This one is in need of a little TLC and restoration and would probably be better off as a collector piece or as a wall hanger.
