Every bit as high quality. It is 5x beaver fur felt. Satin lining with leather sweat band. Not as stiff as the PB. Never touched a Stetson. It is very soft, smooth to touch and the feel of the hat on top of the head is extremely comfortable. In other words it conforms to the shape of your head. With a PB I definetly felt that there were gaps around my head due to the stiffness in the band. I had a tough time not wearing all the time, especially indoors.
