well, i know only this-- that there are only a few leathers in the world that are suitable for whips, which give the best ratio of
weight/ durability with suppleness and give/ stretch. Kangaroo
really is un-equalled, from what i understand. Deer hide and
cowhide would be the next ones, as far as popular practice goes.
my info. is just that remembered from david morgan stuff.....
construction of whips wasn't really my specialty or most knowledgeable subject. Mostly, i concentrated on coming up with cracks and stunts that hadn't been done before. never had a chance to work with Anthony Delongis, who worked the catwoman....he/ his web site and david morgan's might be of value.
