There is no outright statement that he had a sexual relationship with her. I've always assumed that he took advantage of her feelings toward him to acheive some goal, but that he spurned her affections in the end.
Note Marion's words to him when he fell asleep while she was trying to seduce him;

"We never do seem to get a break, do we?"

Sounds to me like she's saying, "Foiled again!"
