In Reply to: Why does Lucas do nothing between SW, when he did Raiders??... posted by bamindy from hide196.nhs.uk (195.107.47.196) on Friday, September 07, 2001 at 12:06pm :

I agree with the comments that Fall Guy made below regarding Lucas going bust directing. The one point I'd like to bring up is that Raiders was a project that George really wanted to do at the time. "Indiana Jones", is a project that I believe he'd still like to do if he can. All they've really got to bring to the table at the moment is the Indiana Jones character. In 77' they had the character and a great story. I also think that George was trying to parlay the success of Star Wars into as many projects as he could before the studios might pull the plug on him. He was also a younger, hungrier film maker at the time. If they had a fantastic script, things would be different. I think they've got a case of writer's block at the moment. Cheers

: between Empire and Jedi? It seems he's messing around deliberately to fuel rumours. I see no reason why the Indy and SW DVDs couldn't be released between the new SW movies, and even and Indy movie.

: Just mho, but what does anyone else think? I appreciate that DVDs, and the next Indy will be released when things are right, but they must have some realistic indications as to when?

: Regards to all,
