This is a message that a received from a good friend of mine attending college in D.C.

Today is truly a day that will live in infamy. I, myself, am ok, just a
little shocked and distraught. Washington DC is a mad house. Let me give you
a little perspective into what i witnessed to day.

I arrived for my 930 class about 10 minutes early and my prof. told us what
had happened in NYC and said class was cancelled. SO i proceeded to my dorm
to catch CNN to see the news in NYC. As i was walking, i saw a plane taking
the normal approach route into Reagan NAtional Airport and thought nothing of
it until about 15 seconds later wheni heard an explosion. I jumped on the
ground, made sure everything was safe, and ran to my dorm. I then saw reports
that the Pentagon had been hit. About 20 minutes later I received a call from
my ROTC commander telling me that i was now on temporary active duty and told
me to meet at the ROTC unit. We were going to assist with evacuations and
security. DC was crazy. People were rushing to get home, emergency crews
were rushing to the Pentagon, streets were blocked, and people were in
hysterics. I got to the unit thinking that i was going to be right in the
middle of it all. We did not mobilize but went to the Pentagon to lend
assistance. It was horrific, the scene that i saw. Total devestation and
chaos.

Just pray for all the victims and stay strong as we overcome this test of our
strength. Take Care and God Bless.
