Well, for starters the poster is from the 1982 theatrical re-release of ROTLA, so I think that's what they were alluding to.

Of course ROTLA is in the tradition of all those great epic Hollywood adventure films like Lawrence of Arabia, Gunga Din, Lost Horizon etc...but I think the tagline was emphasizing that ROTLA was coming back to theatres.
