: Perhaps you have all seen the clever little Last Crusade outake where Harrison Ford is astride his horse outsmarting Vogel in the tank scene, but his fedora keeps flying off time and time again. So, Harrison wittingly takes a staple gun from a crewman and "staples" the fedora to his brow stating dryly "That should do it."

: Well, when I saw this, I just thought it was one of Harrison's many on-set gags during the making of the documentary for the film. But, during the A&E biography about Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg recounted the event as REALLY happening. He said, "I'll tell you a secret about Harrison--George Lucas will probably kill me for telling you--but, Harrison would staple his hat to his head to keep it from flying off." And, Mr. Spielberg didn't seem to be joking. In fact, he related the story to Harrison's determination as an actor.

: Does anybody have any idea if this was just a gag, or did he actually do this?

Hey Guys,
Lets be serious. If any one were to really staple their head and puncture the skin, it would be seriously infected and hurt like heck. I saw the behind the sceens tape and saw Harrison do this , but of course it wasnt puncturing the skin. Fords make-up crew would have a feild day covering up the scars! We sure as hell can say that Ford has a great sence of humor and charisma! Take care,
G.J.R.
