You're right about todoy's movies' fight scenes being edited too fast. Car chase scenes are even worse: just a bunch of camera shaking and quick-tempo music. (E.g. A couple of other good movie gunfights are The gunfight at the O.K. Corral in "Tombstone" and the gun battle towards the end of "Taxi Driver." At least in my humble opinion.
