The director of that film was Tobe Hooper, and while Spielberg's contribution has always been controversial over that film (including front-page news in the Hollywood trades as well as intervention by the Director's Guild of America), such a glaring error surely discredits the accuracy of the BRAVO marketing department employee who drafted the press release.

No doubt they took their information for their press release right off of the IMDB, which lists both "Lost Continent" and "Poltergeist (Uncredited)" in Spielberg's Director credits. The people at Bravo should certainly know to check their facts beyond that source. Sloppy work.
