I was recently listening to the Raiders movie on record. I had it since I was a kid and noticed then that the voice of Jock was not the same as the one used in the film. Listening now, I hear that there is a completely different sound take as Belloq and Dietrich stand over Indy in the well of souls. Also, when Sallah tells Indy there is someone he knows who can help them decipher the staff of ra, there is also an alternate sound take on that as well. Ben Burtt did the record and might have completed it before the film was released and used sound from several different takes at his disposal. I always think its cool to see or hear cutting room floor stuff. With raiders, that is pretty hard to come by!! If you know of anything on the album I missed, please let me know. If you know of any other cutting room floor stuff besides the 'making of' video, please pass it on. Thanks.
