I asked jeeves "how long is a cubit?", and it came back with some encyclopedia thing, so i clicked on that and got "CUBIT, earliest known unit of length, which originated between 2800 and 2300 BC. A cubit is approximately 43 to 56 cm (17..." unfortunately u have to pay for the rest, but this is enough info for our purposes. Using this definition, the
length=somewhere between 107.5 cm(42.332 inches) and 140cm(55.1181 inches)
breadth=between 64.5 cm (25.3937 inches) and 84 cm (33.0709 inches)
height = same as breadth (both are 1.5 cubits)
hope this helps

: Of course, that begs the question - how long is a cubit? And where can one get gopher wood these days? :)

: Also, I must admit that I'm already familiar with the description given in the old testament. I am looking for something a little more... mundane, shall we say. Like, scaled drawings and modern materials and possibly some helpful hints from those that have built such a project themselves. The gods know, I'm lousy at carving cherubim... ;)
