In the opening climax when Indy first encounters Belloq, we see Indy try to pull his gun, only to surrender it to Belloq. What apparently was cut and I only recently noticed, is that Belloq is already holding Indy's whip. The amazing thing to me is that Indy has another, almost identical whip AND gun back at his humble abode. How much gear does that guy have, anyway?!? More than Patterson, even, I bet...
