: I was wondering why Indy never wore sunglasses. There were plenty of oppurtunities--the Ark Dig, mid-air Last crusade dog fight--and I figured he would've chosen the popular aviator style glasses, which WWII pilots wore at the time. Right now I'm planning on buying the aviators from US Wings.
: What do you guys think? Doesn't Indy need protection from the sun?

I think that sunglasses didn't come into vogue until after the war. Like the leather flight jackets, many civilians started wearing them after being exposed to them for years. The Indy we know, was adventuring in the 30's and before our direct involvement in the conflict. Just something to consider. Regards, Fedora
