Ever read anything by Kurt Vonnegut? I just began reading The Sirens of Titan today by Vonnegut and he introduces his main character's location exaclty the same way you did, by putting the town, state, USA, Earth, Milky Way.
It's prolly just a coincidence but after reading that and then reading your message I had a little bit of deja vu (spellling?).
