Selection of Han Solo as Indiana Jones???......

This seems pretty obvious, but for some reason, I've never heard this before...
I've heard that one of the reasons Harrison Ford was chosen to play Indy was because Lucas and Speilberg didn't want a familiar face. However, in 1980, the year before Raiders was released Star Wars fans everywhere were let on the edge of a cliff as Han Soo was frozen and shipped offt Jabba the Hut. Which means, with Raiders being released the year after, it was almost as if Han Solo was melted and returned in the form of Indiana Jones.
I wasn't alive when Raiders was released, so was this point a common thought as Star Wars fans flocked to see Raiders??
