: 2) It takes place in the late 40's, early 50's (assumption).

I hope it's in the late 40's, as the 50's just seem a little too modern for Indy. The 50's are also a time period that both Lucas and Spielberg have already dealt with before in their work.

Besides, it is, after all, a movie- where time is irrelevant. If the fans are so limited that they think it HAS to be X number of years later, that's their problem.

: 3) It deals with a more mature Indiana Jones, according to Spielberg.

Also, exploring a more mature love affair, according to Spielberg.

: 4) Henry Jones Sr. will at least make an appearance (rumoured).

Likely, since Ford has repeatedly expressed an interest in Connery's return. I doubt he will have a role as large as in LC, but will probably fill the fatherly shoes vacated by Marcus.

One other thing that is interesting to note, is that the majority of the rumoured storylines deal with quests that wouldn't necessarily just provide relics to fit on a museum shelf.

Subjects such as Atlantis, Shangri-las, and the Garden of Eden seem to suggest that either the Big 3, the fans, or perhaps both, are interested in seeing Indy's last quest be about something greater than just another 'artifact of the week'.
