Because there's a good chance that they'll deliver a very good movie. The simple fact that Ford is older already makes it different than the last three. I didn't hear anyone complaining when Ford did "Mystery of the Blues". Well, they might have complained about the episode, but not his appearance. It was set in the 50's and Ford portrayed Indy perhaps a bit more crotchety, but to no detrimental effect. Even if Indy 4 stinks, who cares? The fact that they made three crummy Jaws sequels didn't make original jaws less of a movie. It's still fantastic. Any time a movie is made, it's a gamble. By the reasoning of not being able to improve on the original, the second two sequels should never have been made. I love Raiders but I'm glad that they made Temple of Doom and Last Crusade, even if I don't care for them quite as much as Raiders. I have never quite understood the viewpoint that Indy shouldn't be back. It's hard for me to believe that those arguing against it will not be in line to see it. Besides, it helps keep this place alive (grin). Cheers

: If it aint broke, don't fix it. There's no reason to go messing with the indy trilogy. It's perfect as it is. I think that the risk that it will suck is too great. I mean all the odds are stacked against it being good. HF is 13 years older and well out of his prime, the aims of the movie indusrt has shifted from putting out quality movies to putting out any crap that will bring in the most money (you know a lot of movies in the past decasde have sucked and done well (i.e. titanic). This also means the possibility of introducing a succesor, so they could make more films in the future), technology is likely to tamper with the b-movie feeling. Plus look at the receint bond movies. They used to be good, now they've taken a bit of a nose dive. I think the 3 movies are fine just the way they are, and we shouldn't go fooling around with it.
