Short Round's real name is Wan Li. Check out page 26 of West End Games' Temple of Doom Sourcebook. This book, licensed by Lucasfilms, Ltd., states "Short Round (whose real name, Wan Li, is not even known by Indiana Jones)is an 11 year old Chinese lad..." Since this book is a licensed product by Lucasfilms, Ltd., this name must be given great weight and accepted as part of the Indiana Jones timeline.
