Still, it was a pretty good system, if not such a dead end career.
As far as snakes go; the worst in the state being rattlers and the occasional copperhead, it's still essentially winter in PA, so they'll still have their scaly little heads tucked someplace warmer than outdoors, at least for a few more weeks.
Then again, in Pennsylvania, folks get in the last BBQ when the temperature hits -20F, before it gets too cold.
For that matter, all of the present hype for Rolling Rock beer has most Pennsylvanians totally baffled. They've been drinking it for years, even though Iron City is better brew.
And as far as "running through" Penns Cave goes, no such luck. It's the only all-water cavern in the country, and the only way to see it is by boat. And that water is COLD, all year.
