New Indiana Jones has been chosen.....

According to USA TODAY, Steven Spielberg recently spoke about the status of Indy 4 at the showing of E.T.- The Extraterrestrial in lower Manhattan:

I spoke with Harrison the other day, and he didn't approve of the script that George and I had selected as a reference to the movie we were about to make. We were going to be going into preproduction and lensing the film after "Catch Me If You Can". So, he- I called George. George said he just faxed the script to Harrison and that he would tell us what he thought. When I called him, he said 'Steven, I've been attached to this for too long. I'm moving on to other things.' And basically, he told us that pursuing the role of Indiana Jones was no longer a priority to him, which is unfortunate, but he's got other things on his plate.

Will Indiana Jones 4 still be made?:

Oh, most definitely. Katie still wants to do it, and she has worked with Tom Selleck before, so...we'll see
