Okay, distressed or new?

Well, I'm not sure how much this has been debated before but it hasn't been in the last couple of months (I think). The question is, what are the pros and cons between the two different styles of westeds? Distressed or new? I'm very interested in hearing from someone who may have owned both or has seen both IRL.
