I really thought the McCoy books were more interesting, as they at least attempted to remain close to the films. MacGregor's stuff seems to be the most popular amongst fans for some reason, and while Genesis Deluge is fairly interesting, his last two- Unicorn's Legacy and Interior World- were both pretty poor, IMO.

The only two I still haven't read are his first two, so maybe they're just really, really good.
