It's pretty clear that the "kill Harrison and get the girl" comment is a joke (he repeats it as his demands when asked if he would participate in Indy 4.)

I just thought the other comment (which I assume is what you're referring to anyway) was interesting. It didn't strike me as being a joke...perhaps it's just his way of describing what his character (the 'zeppelin cameo' that was cut) would've been like.
