The first use of computer graphics, I believe, goes back to the '70s in Michael Crichton's Westworld. Let's also not forget that back in the early 80's, Pixar was still part of ILM and doing CGI for Star Trek II (the Genesis video) and Return of the Jedi (Death Star hologram, anyone?). So LC ain't exactly among the first...
