I think the face melting should be left alone. Some of the effects problems which are just bad compositing I wouldn't mind a little cleanup, but in general just leave them alone.

Indy doesn't have the problem that Star Wars does in that movies made 25 years later must fit together. The concept of Indy is pretty low-tech, so I hope there isn't the need to tweak.
