I have it from a VERY reliable source that WAS the script George was trying to push on Steven and Harrison. Fortunately they refused. I am sticking to my opinion that Lucas's sensibilities have gotten way out there and I sure hope he doesn't blow it.

I think the story should stay in third world countries and FAR away from the USA and American 50's pop culture.
