If you take the Harry Potter music and make it more, uh, Christmassy, you got the Home Alone score. Yes, Harry Potter was NOT his finest hour. Anyway, I'd have to agree with everyone else, and say the 70's and 80's when he composed some of the best known film music EVER, such as Jaws, SW, Indy, Superman, etc.
