I like the fact that Indy is mortal, and he's a regular guy that messes up. He gets hit and beaten up and he beats other people up. I like the part in TOD where the mine car is being pushed by the kids, and the light shines on Indy. He's standing there, about to beat the heck out of the henchman. And he sprawls him. There are so many awesome moments in the trilogy.
