I hear the best way to reshape a fedora is to put a kettle of water onto the stove and let it boil. When it is steaming very good, place your hat in the steam and work it into the shape that you would like. When the hat dries from its steam treatment, it will be in the shape that you sculpted it into. Or so I'm told. I've never tried this, but it seems harmless and I don't think that it would ruin your hat.
