I remember reading that book back in high school, and like you, I was struck by how closely everything from Mystery of the Blues followed it. I tried explaining it to my friends, but they gave me blank stares that would've made ruminates proud. I got that a lot back in high school.

PS I'd also recommend "The Illustrated Red Baron: The Life and Times of Manfred von Richthofen" by Peter Kilduff. It's a short biography of the Red Baron, but what really sets it apart are the great archival photos of him and the Flying Circus. I think other Indyfans would really appreciate it.
