My DVD of Seven Samurai has a three-and-a-half hour movie complete with not one but TWO audio tracks (the movie audio and the commentary), and a couple small extra features (Trailer and probably other junk). And there's absolutely NO noticeable loss of image quality, so it IS possible to put more than 3 hours on one disk. AND they could do a double-sided DVD and put extras on the other side, as they did with the "ultimate edition" of T2, which supposedly has somethin' like 8+hours of material on ONE DISK, and the image and sound qualities are definitely in the upper tenth of my almost-200 DVD collection. So if they only put one or two ep's per disk, they are stretching it out as much as possible to make as much money as possible, and that is that. And that, dear children, is why I like it when they release entire seasons at once, less waiting, less fuss, and a little bit less expensive.

: More than one or two episodes per DVD? Yeah, right. As far as I can tell, dual-layer DVDs can hold three hours of video. (I'm sure someone can verify that) So the maximum you can have is two Young Indy adventures per DVD. And since they're going to cram these mothers with special features (which I think is a good thing, although it'll just give Lucasfilm more money from our wallets), the whole series will take at least 22 discs to release.
