I still don't understand why Smith brought that up to begin with, knowing what he was refering to, especially because of stuff like this:
Crowe in Restaurant Brawl

Movie hunk Russell Crowe has been involved in a boozy brawl with a top New Zealand business in a top London restaurant. The Gladiator star, also a Kiwi, bumped into Eric Watson, who has apparently had run-ins with Crowe in the past, in the trendy Zuma eaterie in the early hours of Wednesday morning following a night out's drinking. The pair started arguing in the gents' restroom and Crowe's bouncers, alerted by the commotion, rushed in to help their charge - only for the fight to continue in the restaurant's bar. An eyewitness says, "Apparently the fight started when Crowe went to the loo and had words with a guy called Eric. One of Crowe's bouncers rushed in after hearing shouting and found Crowe lying on top of him. When another diner saw what was happening he pulled Crowe and the other guy apart. All hell broke loose for a few moments and Crowe completely lost it. You could tell he had been drinking heavily." Crowe, 38, who has a history of being involved in violent incidents, had reportedly been drinking before he arrived at the restauarant - where his behavior became increasingly boisterous. Another diner says, "Crowe was very loud and seemed to have been drinking beforehand. He got more and more boisterous and at one point started having a game with his bodyguard. He was throwing plates and the bodyguard was trying to catch them. One of the plates smashed and a couple sitting just behind Crowe got up in disgust and asked to be moved. The people with him were trying to calm him down and for a while he started behaving really charmingly to everyone. But it all went off when Crowe and this guy recognized each other." Police were called to the venue, but with neither party wishing to pursuit a complaint, they left after warning the pair about their behavior. A police statement reads, "Police were called at 00.42am to the Zuma restaurant to reports of an altercation involving two men in their thirties. When police arrived the situation was under control. No allegations of crime were received. There will be no further police action."
