: : I AM NOT GOING TO SEE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN BECAUSE IT IS TOOOOOOOO VIOLENT AND I THINK THAT MATT DAMON AND HIS FRIEND BEN AFFLECK ARE TRYING TO GET ALL THE ATTENTION AWAY FROM LEONARDO DICAPRIO. BILLIONS OF GIRLS LOVE LEO. HE STOLE MILLIONS OF FANS HEARTS AWAY FROM HIS INCREDIBLE PERFOMANCE IN TITANIC (THE #1 MOVIE IN THIS PLANET) SAVING PRIVATE RYAN SUCKS AND MY GRANDPA WAS IN WWII AND I BELIEVE WHAT MY MOM SAYS. HE WAS PROTECTING HIS COUNTRY. BUT THE MOVIE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REAL THING! I DONT THINK IT SHOULD GET AND NOMINATIONS FOR ANY KIND OF AWARD. THE MOVIE TITANIC CAPTURED PEOPLES HEARTS. SAVING PRIVATE RYAN IS GOING TO CAPTURE NIGHTMARES. DONT SEE IT IF YOU DONT WANT TO WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. FOR ONE THING MY ENTIRE FAMILY FROM DIFFERENT STATES AGREED NOT TO SEE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN!!

: It bothers me to see that you feel that this is a movie about popularity between actors. I had the fortune of being able to see "Saving Private Ryan" this weekend and found it to be the best war films I had seen in my life. As far as being too violnet, I would have to say "That's the way war is." Am I speaking from experience, no. But as a historian, specializing in Modern American History, this film is extremely realistic. It may not be a true story, but it shows what the men went through in Europe just days after the allied landing, and shows the apparent disregard for life some higher-up military commanders have when it comes to accomplish their own agendas. In my own opinion, I would say that the movie "Titanic" sinks, just like the ship, in comparison to "Saving Private Ryan". And I liked "Titanic". I'm sorry that you and you family is boycotting the film over violence. If you would like further suggestions about what to boycott because of violence, try the news.

MARK, I NEED YOU TO BE A BIG BOY FOR ME AND REMEMBER THAT NOBODY WAS REALLY KILLED IN THIS MOVIE. BELIEVE ME, IT WAS ALL FAKE AND AMERICAN HEROES SHOULD NOT GIVE YOU NIGHTMARES. NOW, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GAIN AN OVERWHELMING SINCE OF RESPECT FOR THIS COUNTRY AND ITS VETERANS, SEE THIS MOVIE.
ALSO, NOBODY IS TRYING TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM LEO. WHAT MAKES SPR SO GREAT IS THAT YOU BECOME EMOTIONALLY TIED TO EACH CHARACTER, INCLUDING THE EXTRAS THAT DIE AS THEY STRUGGLE TO GAIN A FEW YARDS OF BEACH. A MOVIE THAT CAN MAKE YOU FEEL THE FRUSTRATION, ANGER, AND FEAR THAT THOSE MEN MUST HAVE
FELT DESERVES AN AWARD. THIS MOVIE DOES NOT ONLY SHOW THE VIOLENCE OF WAR, BUT IT ALSO SHOWS THE COURAGE AND HONOR OF THE MEN WHO SERVED. YES, THIS MOVIE IS FOR MATURE AUDIENCES. MY RECOMMENDATION IS THAT EVERY PERSON WHEN THEY REACH THAT AGE SHOULD SEE THIS FILM. GO SEE THIS MOVIE MARK. YOU WILL NOT
LEAVE SICK OR SCARED, BUT SILENT. SILENT BECAUSE YOU WILL WONDERING IF YOU COULD EVER DO ANYTHING AS GREAT AS WHAT THOSE MEN DID FOR YOU. IF YOU SEE THIS MOVIE AND ARE NOT TRUELY MOVED AT THE END WHEN THE FLAG COVERS THE SCREEN, I DON'T BELIEVE YOU CAN CALL YOURSELF AN AMERICAN.
