I am an avid collector and very knowledgable on this specific collectable. (I know people who worked on it, Steve Purcell of Sam & Max fame as well as various LucasArts employees.) So after seeing all the questions on this collectable I decided to create a FAQ of those questions and what information I have discovered.

Q. How many versions of the Diary are there?
A. There are four english printings of the Diary. You can distquish each easily. First printings were square bound with glue. The interior was color and the cover was the faux leather brown. Second prints were staple bound to reduce costs, but the interior was still color and the cover still brown. 3rd prints are brown covered but the interior is off-white so there are no coffee stains in brown etc. and the cover was still brown. 4th editions are the grey covered black and white editions that are often confused as 2nd prints. There are also french, german, spannish, and italian versions of the Diary. I currently have one 1st edition, three 2nd editions, and one spannish and one frech copy.

Q. Whar are they really worth?
A. Not an easy thing to answer. They are worth what you can get for them. My personal feeling is that you should not pay more than $300 for a 1st edition, or more than $100 for a second edition. 3rd and 4th editions are two common to have any real after market value.

If you have any other questions on the book please feel free to E-mail me and I will add them to the FAQ. I am currently trying to get hard numbers on how many of each version were printed.

If you want to buy a Diary mail me and I can put you in contact with someone with 2nd editions for sale. (I am will not sell my copies. Sorry)

Thanks
