I have been using a bullwhip for over17 years. The morgan whip is an
excellent work of art. Morgan himself will tell you that it should
not take much effort to crack a good whip. But for the price 455.00
each time you swing from a tree you run the risk of streaching the
whip. Once it has been streached to much the balance is gone.
I have seen to many over anxious whip handlers wrap a branch and try
to swing and fall on their butts. They broke the fall of the whip
because they were not careful of how they set of the grab of the
branch. Mark Allen sells a bootleg Indiana Jones whip for about 300.
You should practice with this untill you are ready for the morgan.
Do not and I repete do not buy any other types of whips. Such as
swivel or tourist specials. These whips will not preform and will
only anger you. So try Mark Allen then the Morgan. I take my whip
each time I go hiking, It serves many functions. I can help pull
people up or slow a decent down a steep hill with it . I have collected
dry brush from trees and have scared off a rattle snake. But I have
yet to find a hole and branch to swing over.
