I was at the Screen Producers' Association Conference in Sydney, Australia in November last year. When asked if there was any future to the Indiana Jones property, Lucas replied...

"There may be a fourth film," and continued to say how they had a script, and it was a matter of getting the schedule together.

Now this reads promising, but I was there, and the way he said "may be" sounded a lot to me like, "if we can be bothered".

So the word straight from the big guy himself is that the script is there. But he didn't sound all that enthusiastic to me. Now maybe it's just because his head was still stuck in his Star Wars Universe, and I can understand how exciting that could be, but I'm not holding my breath for Indy IV.
