Raiders, in my opinion, tops them all. Real suspense, believable
situations, and my personal favorite stunt sequence (the bit with
the truck always makes me marvel at just how many stunts they did).

Temple I liked best as a kid, and it's easy to see why. It doesn't
diddle around, gets right to action, and as a kid, it's just like a
'30s serial: filled with adventure, gross stuff, and kissing. That
is probably the best film to get someone started on Indy: Raiders,
while great, is a little talky at parts, and Crusade should be
reserved until after Raiders. It's somewhere in the middle line.

Crusade was the first Indy film I actively heard about--it was
coming out when I was a kid. I have a few killer complaints, and a
lot of compliments for the film. First, Sallah and Marcus are quite
annoying in this one. Secondly, I dislike Elsa (probably what the
filmmakers intended). Thirdly, some of the action is weak. The cycle
chase has great music, and looks nice, but is really silly when
it comes down to bare bones. The best parts are Sean Connery and
Harrison Ford doing great acting work, the wonderful tank chase,
the eerie Nazi rally, and good villains (although not as good as
Belloq or Mola Ram).

So, to sum up:

BEST FILM: Raiders
BEST ACTION SEQUENCE: Truck Chase in Raiders
BEST VILLAIN: Mola Ram, but Belloq is more interesting
BEST SUPPORTING CHARACTER: Henry Jones or Sallah (from Raiders)
