: Two things here--

: When Marion is first untied and tries to run out of the tent, Belloq
: tells her that the desert is "three weeks in every direction".

That was probably three weeks on foot.

: (Also, how is the hiding place for the truck ready to go?

I don't think there is a way to get around that one. Perhaps the

I havn't noticed what you're talking about but I think I understand
what you're saying. Perhaps its because most stunts are filmed in slow
motion and pieced together in the editing room so it looks like its
happening in one fast motion when they really did the whole thing very
slowly and safely.

SW has tons of errors, especially the first SW film. Look around for
the Bad Guide to Star Wars and learn about the tons of errors in the
films. (I bet most movies have the same number of mistakes but most
movies don't have such a large fan base of people who watch a movie
100 times and notice them).
