You figured it out! Although it is not the editors who do this but the
negative cutters who are following the directions of the editors to the
exact frame. Imagine the feeling those guys must get when the accidently
cut too much of the negative!

Also, ever see the photo of Ford, Capshaw, Lucas and Speilberg sitting
down for a break? That image was reversed too as the gun is on the
wrong side too and the slight bend in Ford's nose is curving the wrong
way, at least I think it is ;)
