Look, at least we have a forum. Micah has put a lot of time into this thing so that we could talk about Indy. And just because there have been a few changes, people start to complain. I'm just glad we have one. Good or bad.

I indeed agree with Deirdre. Just having this marvelous Forum is good enough. But now that we have it, we might as well increase the level of enjoyment of this fine page--as long as it doesn't take any years off of poor Micah's life!
I might as well put my vote in words [though my vote is already entered in the poll, too]:
Many of the aspects of the old Forum--particularly concerning the actual posts--were far better. You could see something that was added easier because it would show up on the Forum and you could go straight to it. This particularly helped with those oh-so-long strings concerning action figures and all that. I just think that one day ther will be a string so long it will take 5 minutes to load. Okay, a bit of an exageration, but...the new Forum: The graphics and all that are far superior than the older "all text" approach. Perhaps, Micah, you might just use the "Indyfan Forum--New Post--FAQ--The Vault" graphics as the header for the Forum and the old indentation design for the body.
Micah, no matter what, your site and all of its many sections will always be appreciated by me, and I'm sure many other Indyfans. Perhaps one day you'll develop a cult following of your own, just like good ol' Indy. Well, maybe not...

The poll is shaping up as a "thumbs down" for the new forum. What you have suggested is what I planned to do if that was the outcome.
Also, this poll script is pretty cool. Perhaps in the future we can register our opinions of the latest rumor, our favorite Indy sidekick, favorite Indy movie, etc. At least something good came out of this.

Oh ho, so the graphics and background would be kept? Well then, I should've read that before I voted... although I applaud the ingenuity and still maintain change as a good thing, the indentations still feel more comfy for me. But, the important lesson here is that you can always get something good out of an idea. In this case, the poll. Great work! I hope you'll set up a weekly poll with that script. Example question: Exactly how many people here own Indy hats? Fun stuff. Well, however it turns out, I'll still be here next week.
