Despite what you have read on the subject, the three Indy movies were available in video several years ago.
The edition I'm talking about includes the three movies in widescreen format with the soundtrack digitally mastered in dolby surround (which is basically what you get in a THX-compliant soundtrack). It also included the video "The making of Raiders". The movies were very nicely packaged and labeled as "The Indiana Jones Trilogy".
I got this pack in UK about three years ago and I've seen a copy available at HMV just one year ago.
