In case you didn't know, other actors already have played Indiana Jones and all four of them were fine! 1: River Pheonix - has the look and the physicality. Basically not doing much more than imitating Ford (not too hard for any real actor I suppose) but has that cokcy, roguish charm perfectly duplicated (thus, his weakness!)!
2:) Corey Carrier - has none of the looks, but has all the curiosity and the naivete necessesary for his part. Charming and believable.
3:) George Hall - far less believable, but his characterization DID hit the mark a couple of times - specially the episodes concerning his WW1 capture.
4:) The best and most hier apparent - Sean Patrick Flanery. He was nowhere near Ford's look, and for the first couple of times out I really had to wonder why they had chosen him. He was not doing a Ford emulation, yet later, I realized that was his STREGNTH. Flanery brought depth and range to basically what had been a single-function character. He often displayed the right amount of arrogance and naive, but most often displayed the charm AND the physciality. In other words - he was perfect, and yes, true believers, BETTER than Harrison Ford.

I said it before and I'll say it again: compare SPF's performance in POWDER to ANYTHING Ford has done - and you'll see who the better actor is. God bless Ford, he knows what he's doing and he knows his limits - but they ARE there! Flanery deserves more, and it saddens me deeply to know that he was kicked off LOST IN SPACE to makie room for Matt "Uhhhhh....What's a script?" LeBlanc.
