GREAT LINE! "I dunno, I'm making it up as I go..." I remember the audience falling in its seats when Ford first said that so long ago...
But if you look at RAIDERS, Indy's pretty nasty sometimes. Look at how he treats Marion:
INDY: I never meant to hurt you.
MARION: I was a child, I was in love. It was wrong and you knew it!
INDY: You knew what you were doing!
Gosh...it sounds like he got her pregnant, and she had an ABORTION or something. That would explain everything between them -- the reason why Abner got pissed, why Indy left, and why Marion hates his guts!
